Hi, I got back from work today as normal and turned off the engine. Everything was fine, I then opened the garage and turned the ignition on my bike so I could ride it into the garage, I heard the engine making a silly sound, so I turned off the ignition, when I did this the electric start keeps firing, even without the key in the ignition! I disconnected the battery and left the whole bike to cool down. Soon as I connect the battery again, it starts cranking! even without the key in!
Any ideas?

Uh, yes, you've got a short. Put your computer really close to the bike and I'll try and get a multimeter on it for you. Confused

A bit more seriously, check around the ignition barrel, see if a scrote's tried to hotwire it while you were in work.

Nope, it's definitely not been hijacked. But after about an hour of working on the bike, I've got it down to be the starter motor/solenoid. Going to see if I can get one tomorrow.
