Quick question, will a coil from a 70s TS250 fit an 80s TS250 & vice versa?
And from the pic attached .... what year ish would you say the engine is?
Anddddd...Can anyone show me a laymans wiring diagram for the coil? Because i thought it would need a cdi unit but im told its a none cdi engine?

Thanks Smile

Get hold of a manual and find out the spec of the coil, youll need to know the number of inputs on the low tension side and the low tension primarys resistance.

You can use pretty much any coil that matches the required spec.

Looks like you have a points engine there.

Yes, if it indeed has points it will not have any form of ignition box.

A mechanical switch controls the power to the coil.
