Fire up you IRC client - hit Undernet and come along to #bikechatforums

May I suggest www.mirc.com or for you strange Mac people www.ircle.com

Trillian of course is superior in every way but unsuitable for n00bs. Smile

The applet is broken by the way Razz

You don't have to re-install it every 30 days. You can either get a crack which I know there was a couple of people on here who had one so thats floating around, or you can just leave it alone. Even if you don't register it still lets you use it after the 30 days!

Does anyone have any half decent web space that we can run a moderately processor intensive CGI prog on?

If so there is a soloution that would sort everyone out Smile.

Hi

I have loads of web space, and over 35gb of bandwidth a month which I am paying for but not using. Should be able to do something.

All the best

Carvell offered to fix the applet, or rather, install a new one on his space.

I've no idea why it's stopped working, but since we're decomissioning that web server anyway, I don't much care. Smile

It stopped working because Undernet changed the way their 'JOIN' command worked - so the applet and the server were speaking different languages.

This has been fixed in the latest version of jIRC, but there's no crack for it, and I'm not paying the £30 or whatever Razz

I can put it up if you want - but you'll get an annoying "please register this product" message every time you type something.

Keith:

https://cgiirc.sourceforge.net/

It uses a lot of processer power so your hosting company may well not like it if you've got space on a shared server.

Anyone got any ideas on how to get mIRC working through my firewall at work? I don't have a SOCKS password (which would be easy) so I need to find another way.

Any help would be appreciated. Thumbs Up

Damnit, my uni have just introduced a new system where as soon as you click on the MIRC website or anywhere you can download it they close the browser window. Laughing
