Is it possible to install clip on handlebars onto a CB500Sport 1998 model

I like the riding position and was just curious as considering buying some if so...

Thanks

You can clip individual bars onto the forks below the top yoke, or have a look at "clubman bars".

You mean that bit of the forks you cant see, hidden behind the fairing.. Rolling Eyes

I suppose if you took that off.. maybe fitted a Cafe style half fairing or headlamp cowl...

But then there probably wouldn't be a lot of space between the bars and the tank at full lock, to dodge trapped fingers..... I suppose you could get a ball-peen hammer and bash some scollops in it....

Or just buy an alloy Cafe tank that already has them....

Of course that would mean the seat wouldn't fit.... hmmm....

https://www.tuffside.com/v/vspfiles/photos/CafeSeat-2-Tone-2.jpg

That would sory of leave the back end a bit messy, and nothing covering the back wheel, or giving space to attach the number-plate.....

But what the heck! Swap enough parts you could almost end up with something like....

Why couldn't Honda have made something like that in the first place!

Oh... hang on a tappet... that's a GB500.... oh, yeah, they DID! Laughing

RickRaff? The answer is that anything is possible with enough money, ingenuity, spanners, and a big hammer..... whether its a good idea or not, is an entirely different matter!

If he's after a sportier riding position on a CB500S, I'll stick my neck out and guess that it's already been Smilered a few times.
