hello
I dont know much about bike and have a problem with my pitbike. the bike has a honda 90 engine on it. when i first got it, it started by wouldnt throttle so i check the points which were pitted so i changed them.

however now when i try and start it, i am not getting a spark, and i unsure of where to start to solve the problem. The bike only has the basic wiring on it

can anyone suggest anything i can do to try and fix the problem?

thanks in advance

If it was running before you changed the points but won't run since you changed them then this is the obvious place from which to start. I know that I will not be offending you as you confess to knowing next to nothing about bikes but have you adjusted the gap on the new set of points and have you checked the point BTDC at which they begin to open?
