I'm looking at ideas to change from a carb to injection. It's a ktm 640 engine going into a different frame. The thread is on show and tell 'project KTMito' or something like that. Basically to use the carb I will need to cut out and move a big quite important looking brace that holds the sides of the frame.

As far as I know the chassis set up on this bike is good. So if I can avoid messing it up (as I'm not going to redesign a suitable brace and know what the fuck I'm doing), I was thinking I could go injection. It will make many things easier.

So what has anyone used and recommend? I will need at a guess the ecu, wiring, TPS, lamda, and injector. Then a suitable intake pipe. I know its not the cheapest option but it's still an option at least. Cheers

Any chance you could get or make a bendy inlet rubber instead and re-site the carb? Cut the existing rubber in half, bodge in a bendy bit?

I don't think an injection throttle body will be that much smaller than a carb, and there are cheaper and easier alternatives. I believe Binge put on an angled inlet tube on his 125 Pitbike in order to avoid a similar frame bracing interference issue. If I were you, putting a tube inbetween two inlet rubbers would be my first port of call.

I thought a major change to the intake when a carb is involved would have massive side effects. I did consider a tube but it is quite tight.

I will need to keep the carb level so it would need effectively two equal bends.

I could have a remotely located throttle body and a thin manifold with an injector in on the engine. (initial ideas)
