Hi, im looking to change my rear brake pads on my MBK nitro 50, because they were close to the legal minimum on my MOT advisory form, and was wondering if anyone knows what..
Quote:
FITS: MBK NITRO 50 97 > 06 REAR

...would mean.
is it the size of the caliper or something along thoes lines, or just some technical gibberish?

MBK Nitro = bike
50 = engine size
97 > 06 = Year of manufacture from 1997 to 2006
Rear = BBack brake Laughing

i thought it might have meant the year of manufacture, but the > symbol confused me, cause in biology, i know it as the "is greater than" symbol... i.e 97 "is greater than" 06

and thats what threw me..

...as you might have guessed..ive barely ever changed or adjusted anything myself on my moped Laughing

But thanks Thumbs Up

Just for reference, the mbk nitro and yamaha aerox are the exact same bikes. Parts from both are interchangeable

I know that Yamaha bought 99% of MBK in 1989 (i think)
But im not entirely sure why they've cloned the Aerox with the nitro under a different model and manufacturers name... Confused

Please allow me to correct myself for your benefit, brother!

I do believe, and please correct me if i am mistaken, that the Japanese motor manufacturer, Yamaha , bought 99% of the French scooter manufacturer, Motobécane (MBK) in the year 1989
