Today (Sun) marks 100 years of racing on the TT mountain course. Although the TT was first run in 1907 the first races on the mountain course did not take place until 1911. To mark the occasion 100 bikes, the 'youngest' of which is over 70 years old will set off for a lap of the 37.73 mile course. Some of the older bikes taking part are pre 1914 and so are officially classed as Veteran. In keeping with the re-enactment the riders will be dressed in period Edwardian gear.

The motorcycle that won the first ever mountain course TT race, a 1911 Indian, ridden by Oliver Godfrey will be on display at the grandstand this afternoon.
