If it's raining enough to make our feet wet you're going to be soaked through so not a lot of point worrying about it really. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

Depends how long the jeans are you know now the fashion is to have jeans that cover the high part of your shoes, I'd rather keep jeans inside boots. Reason being just incase the material interfered with the controls.
You don't want a crash for something that you could easily avoid. ____________________ CB125>CG125>GN125>ER5>K100RS>R1100RS>K100RS

If it's just damp and road spray, waterproofs (you meant I think) inside boots will stay a bit cleaner at the bottom, I always hate that nasty gritty wetness up inside, and it might get on your trousers next time you put them on.
But in serious rain it'll run down into your boots in a few minutes for sure.
A more troubling interface is gloves/jacket cuffs
I have one pair won't go over jacket very well but they won't fit inside either. Not that I like them inside, it feels like baby mitts or something.
But it would stop rain running down sleeve into glove lining |

Only time I tend to wear jeans inside my boots is when I have my supertechs on as very few jeans actually fit over the top of them, the day to day daytonas are under the jeans though.
Got to say though, even if I'm caught out on heavy rain, jeans over the boots does a decent job of keeping my feet (and the inside of the boot) dry, I can deal with damp legs, but damp boot liners are horrible nasty things ____________________ 2010 Triumph 1050 Sprint ST |

Jeans and/or waterproofs outside the boots
Leathers inside the boots

Since you lot have taken it the wrong way. I meant leggins as textile trousers.
When riding or pillion, I wear full gear, and tonight I had a small arguement with my dad after he was wearing jeans, and I was tucking my combats in to my boots and folding my leggin's over the top.
Hi arguement was he doesn't ride to crash, and my point was, I ride to keep skin on my megs. It might be only 4 mile. But I will wear t-shirt, hoodie, jacket, combats, leggin's, bots and gloves.
I guess it comes down to preference. He has been riding some 35years, so to me he should know better, but to me it stays the same. Trousers in, leggin's out.
Unless it is leathers, because they are meant to be tight, and tuck in to boots. |
