Just quoted on a job going out there.
1600 miles. Are the roads there up to keeping a decent pace on or is it going to be cratered like back in the day Poland?

Any other things to look out for?

I've told them 2 days to deliver from London, then i can take a week on a jolly on the way back via Prague.

Make sure you visit Припять (Pripyat). It's a jolly good place to camp overnight, always wanted to visit! Everything is alight at night. Apparently there are still people that live there, even though it's considered "too toxic to live in" for the next 20 000 years* Smile

I was traveling there by motorbike back in 2009, Road are very badly cratered inculding the main highway E40 that runs west to east this is due to the extreme winters and summers, from solvakia to Keiv you looking at 2 long days riding.

Using the Pan is do able but a big taile bike with a 21" front can take the craters and tar bubbles at speed without throwing you off(never seen such things else were in the world the tarmac bubbles lumps up to 10" high/wide all over the road from the summer heat on some seactions).

What out for the police they always hide near the start and end of villages/towns.
