I've been watching a few R1's / ZX10R's over the past week and now I really need to go buy one as I don't even have use of the 636 for a week whilst the nose cone is fixed.

Problem is, the only decent one's I can find that aren't about 300 miles away have zero service history. Would that put you off or doesn't it matter as much with them type of bikes? I know my old G1 ZX6R only had a few receipts and that thing was bullet proof, never let me down once.

This would have been ideal and a steal with the mileage, FSH and price and only 45 miles away but he sold it a few days ago.

This one is only 13 miles away but after speaking to him, it's got absolutely no history with it.

This looks immense.. waiting on him to get back to me if he's still got it and if there's any history with it

There's also a 2006 R1 about 15 miles from me but again, no service history

Can't really go above £4,000 as I need £200 for the insurance deposit as well but I might be able to wangle another couple hundred quid if I found a good example.

For a £4K+ bike, I'd want evidence that it had been regularly serviced by 72 virgins. With their tongues.

I'd want evidence that it had been regularly serviced by a mechanic actually. And not chinese. Or a GPz 305.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Just wanted to check really as I've made some noob mistakes with bikes in the past not being particularly clued up mechanically. Considering that guy was selling a ZX10R for 3,800 with FSH and like 6k on the clock, buying one with 20k and no service history isn't exactly a good deal.

I need to find one with at least fuck loads of previous MOT's and receipts for work done, if not a FSH and service book stamped up. It's just much harder to find them closer and I aint got the time to be travelling 300 miles just to go look and it might not even be what was advertised.

Might have to stretch my budget a bit then as most the one's closer to me are around 4.5 and I need £200 insurance deposit.

Still pissed at that Chinese cunt as I would of had another couple hundred to spend if I didn't have to fork out for the nose cone.
