Laughing Laughing at the letter

well if its got wet and the bike didn't die then its better than most Chinese bikes. i doubt theres much of a power band on the bike to be honest but if you have just cleaned the carb etc etc then you have probably restored its smoothness etc and is running nicer Thumbs Up

hi
i had a hongdou chituma ctm 125
i paid 50 quid for it
at least i got some decent metzeler me22 tyres off it for my money
i still have the engine and plenty of electrics for it outside
mine certainly had no POWERband
good for a realistic 50mph tho Thumbs Up
never went by what the speedo indicated otherwise i may have had the fastest 125 4 stroke in the world Laughing
whats the top speed like on it? the off road style bikes usually have closer gearing.

Those cg engines are good reliable engines (at least the Honda built ones) that seemed to take loads of abuse without complaining. Wouldn't say they had a noticeable powerband though. They had ok torque at low revs, but fairly flat through the mid-range, and revving them gave no more power. Just easy to ride and predictable - that's why the riding schools use them.
