Ok short and sweet i have a hongdou gy 125 4 stroke push rod (cg engine)
Now after some work i did on the engine + carb it feels as if it has a "mini" powerband
Starts off slightly slower than it used to then boom it picks up and just goes!
Now its not like a dtr powerband or most 2 strokers it dosent give you whiplash but it makes your arms straighten a little so noticeable
Im pretty sure all engines have powerbands i may be wrong im a newbie to 4 stroke engine mechanics (stripped first push rod yesterday) but does mine actualy have a powerband or is it just the carb needle or what im so confused.
Thats how i roll

at the letter
well if its got wet and the bike didn't die then its better than most Chinese bikes. i doubt theres much of a power band on the bike to be honest but if you have just cleaned the carb etc etc then you have probably restored its smoothness etc and is running nicer ____________________ KLX 300r |

hi
i had a hongdou chituma ctm 125
i paid 50 quid for it
at least i got some decent metzeler me22 tyres off it for my money
i still have the engine and plenty of electrics for it outside
mine certainly had no POWERband
good for a realistic 50mph tho
never went by what the speedo indicated otherwise i may have had the fastest 125 4 stroke in the world
whats the top speed like on it? the off road style bikes usually have closer gearing. |
