I do prefer the sound of a V Twin, and some IL4's sound annoying, but you can't deny just how awesome this sounds

It's late....I've just had a nice time with my g/f....she's now asleep. Dropped a wee dram of whiskey into my cup of tea and smoked my last *ever cigarette. All is well with the world.

In short

I agree with Warped Shocked .....The sound of a V twin piddles all over an IL4.

*Until i can save up for my next bike.

like everything, depends on the bike and who hears it, to me some v twins sound a bit agricultural, I personally prefer a big bang V4 (as found in the N/RC30 VFR's)

You may not like the sound or the power delivery, but an IL4, will always have a higher peak power for a particular cc. They rev higher for a start.

I think twins are suitable for gentle leisurely riding, but I like occasionally ringing the neck of an IL4, even if most of the time I ride it gently.

Are you sure they are women? I seem to remember you have some trouble telling.

So you drive like a cock, why does this, make V2's so good exactly?

Yeah it only cost you what, several hundred?

This thread seems to have been written simply so that you can answer it, bit like hearing the sound of your own voice really.

Is this roughly the gist?

I was prepared to give you another chance, but this is exactly the kind of twattery that got so many people annoyed with you before. You KNOW that most people on this forum probably own an IL4, and that twin fans are in a minority. Don't get me wrong, I love twins, but I'd never say that 4 cylinder bikes are chavvy. I quite like the noise of twins, triples and fours. Even singles can sound good sometimes.

4 cylinder cars don't sound good, and they are a bit chavvy because they put in a great deal of effort to go nowhere. A 4 cylinder bike will be heard and then gone in a moment.

If you're going to berate fours, at least say that you don't like the power delivery, or that you prefer the 'feel' of twins, but don't make blanket statements effectively marking 70% of users on this forum as chavs. Its almost like saying "People who wear full face helmets are dicks". Its just something put down to illicit a reaction.

It isn't far from here to "My girlfriend stole £2000 and I crashed my dad's priceless Laverda and I had sex with a ladyman". No one believes any of it, and its just sad.

The thing is, Il4's do have speed though. They don't sound as loud as V twins, but I believe that at lower revs they are vey quiet and if you hear them, then they are doing some speed and are fasterthan V twins. Some exhausts do make them sound nice too.

I've edited your post slightly Marjay, I think it gets the point across a little better.

Thumbs Up
