No, not car drivers, although the title could be afforded to the stupid bitch who pulled out on me on my way home from work earlier and had the audacity to fucking wave at me when I flagged the moron off. No, I'm talking about those big, fat grey wood pigeons. There seem to be a hell of a lot of them about at the moment, and while they seem to be quite benign when they're waddling about in my garden or the side of the road, but the rest of the time the mental bastards seem to be flying at my fucking head. What's wrong with the bastards things? I must have had a dozen near misses over the weekend alone. It can't all be the same bird, can it? Anyone else?

I remember one diving me on my old varadero, went smack into my screen then rolled off along the side of my bike, wings flapping away frantically Laughing Laughed so hard I almost mounted the pavement. Laughing

One bounced off the side of my helmet after it flew over a hedge. Things are fucking huge! Laughing

Did you happen to see if they were wearing a white headband with a large red spot in the middle? Laughing

I had one whistle in front of my visor as I took a roundabout on my way to my DAS. Laugh? My instructor nearly pissed himself!

Had one of the buggers smash up my visor heading along the A38, both pinlock posts broke clean off, the pinlock itself decided to park itself in my eye and I can tell you right now that picking feathers and bits of pigeon out of an arai side pod isn't much of a hoot Neutral

They are not benign. One took a big chunk out of my nose fairing when I hadnt had my first big bike long. Regard them with suspicion. See them as flying lemmings.

Was a seagull in my case. The flying rat was sitting in the middle of the road and it took off and flew right at me when I came round the bend.

Got my head down a wee bit behind my screen. Bugger hit me right at the top of the visor. I'd slowed down a bit to about 40 when it hit.

I punched one to the ground on my way to Bloodstock Open Air last year.

Not intentionally, the fuckwit took off into the path of me moving at 60mph and hit my left handlebar.

They're at it again! One flew to the ground as I was heading towards it and I missed it with my left foot peg by about an inch at about 60. Maniacs!
