Wrong time of the year to sell a sportsbike though isn't it really. If I was you I'd keep it spotless until spring then put ads everywhere (MCN, Autotrader etc) and at least then you'll get a good price for it.

I sold an insurance write off Blade on there just before Christmas. I bought it back off the insurance company for £300 and sold it through Ebay for £2k. The bloke that bought it wanted to drive over from Grimsby the same night, I had lots of response, all good. I even had a couple of emails after I'd told everyone it had gone offering me an extra £500 if I could get it back or not sell it to the bloke from Grimsby!

It's easy to put an ad on there and I've never really had any trouble, the occasional dickhead replies but nothing major.

The good thing about Ebay is that you can put it on there and say the usual "advertised else where so I retain the right to with draw the item from sale, blah, blah, blah" Then if someone sees the ad and gets in touch and makes a decent offer you can end the auction early. Then you only pay the ad fee not the % for the sale at the end.
