Is this considered a decent track? I'm probably doing this on the 27th of this month

Castle Combe do things differently from other TDO's. If its a full day, it'll be like 6-7 groups with 10 minute sessions, but they do re-organise if its quieter. So more time per session (10mins is not enough time imo)

They also dont run the usual Novice/Inters/Fast. They just chuck whoever together, so you could be bunched with Valentine Rossi and some 65 year old guy on a Pan European.

I've not actually ridden the track itself but everyone I've spoken to said its very bumpy.

A friend of mine races Formula Ford's there and another mate of mine has raced Golf GTI's there too. It doesn't seem to be a very technical track, and from my view as a spectator it is *almost* an oval circuit. I imagine that it would be very very fast.

Hmm. Sounds almost not worth it considering its 125lb on the castle combe website. It is the closest one to Plymouth though AFAIK

They have very strict noise rules.

The strictest in the country. The test you on a ride by basis, and standard R6s, and K7-K9 GSXR600/750s have failed it.

If you want to go try and get a noise test first to be sure you can actually get out on track.

I've got a full yoshi rs5 system on the zx6r, so fuck that. No chance of passing a noise test

I meant standard 06 onwards R6s.

Basically anything with a stubby system won't pass. A full length system might.

There's a list here of bikes that are unlikely to pass their noise test.

Also seems they've changed from ride by tests, to static ones at 75% maximum rpm. Shocked

My friend used to do the noise testing at Combe His K6 750 also failed the noise test (with standard exhaust). Laughing
