Why do they place them on the exit of a roundabout!! Mad

Had this a couple of times where I come off a roundabout toward my exit while making sure the dude beside me doesn't crush me then I look forward to see a cars stopped because of a bloody zebra crossing right on the exit! OK it's poor obs from me but they could at least place them a little further down

Because that's where people want to cross?

So - you missed stopped cars, pedestrians in the middle of the road and perhaps even a big pair of glowing yellow lollipops and you want them to move the crossing further away so that nobody would use it and you'd have to dodge pedestrians legging it across the road in a place without visual aids...

I'm only messing btw, it is annoying but the alternatives are usually a bit worse Thumbs Up .

There's a set of crossing lights (pelican crossing) off a roundabout on my route home, annoying as f**k.

It goes from two lanes into one also so you're always wanting to out accelerate the cars so you don't get stuck behind the dithering tw**s.

Suicide pedestrians that cross from no where are common in London but you don't HAVE to stop for them Wink Laughing

As I said it was poor obs on my behalf and next time I'll know where to look hopefully. I still think that if it was a little further down it would be safer

Fixed.

On that note, the Mrs and I were sitting in KFC the other day for lunch and watching people cross a dual carriageway by stepping over crash barriers. This is despite there being a pedestrian bridge over the carriageway, and also pedestrian traffic lights on both sides of the roundabout that the dual carriageway leads off of...all within 2 mins walk from where the numptys were crossing :/

Wouldn't be so bad but it's a very busy roundabout/dual carriageway lol. Nearly took a kid out myself the other day who wasn't looking and just stepped out to catch up to his mates on the other side of the carriageway. Glad I missed, don't fancy that on my concience!
