im looking at getting this exhaust i love the sound of it and also the look as its much slimmer than most around.
anyway ive spoken to the designer himself as its a small company in usa and he answer all the emails himself , he was very helpful and told me that they didnt actually have certificates etc approved by british law people but its worth asking on forums over here as it may not be a problem,i dont know what makes things legal or not and am wandering if anyone owns or knows someone that owns one who could give me any advice on it. i much prefer it to any other exhaust but i dont want to be constantly hassled by the cops.
p.s. out of curiosity whats the penalty for taking baffles out etc, just a fine? points? etc etc.
thanks for any help and advice. S

Even at todays rate of exchange $925 works out about £570 quid. They might look nice but to be honest for that sort of money I'd rather go for a 'name' brand with Euro approval.
The other point with the big names is that you know they have done proper R&D with the bike in question. I'm not sure this is something that is going to happen with a small firm. If you are going to dyno it and have the mapping etc. set up though, it probably isn't going to be a problem.
I have LeoVince cans on mine, euro approved, although they are as noisy as sin even with the baffles in . Again, it's probably only the big firms who have the financial clout to get their wares approved.
Saying all that my missus has a race can marked 'not for road use' on her fazer which has been through MOT's and spot checks and she has never got done so it's all probably a moot point anyway. ____________________ Triumph Trophy Launch Edition |

The exhaust pipes go behind the rear foot rest hangers and do not interfere with them at all. All the aftermarket exhausts for the striple allow the rear footrests to remain. If you look at this picture you will see that the pipes go behind, not through the hanger.

R&D. Research and development. LeoVince say their slips ons are designed to give a slight power increase across the rev range using the standard mapping. The have to prove this as if it's not true some oink will come along and sue them
This is LeoVinces take on R&D. Even though it's self inflated posturing you get the idea about R&D that small firms would struggle to do.
How this exhuaust was designed
LeoVince products are designed in their own dedicated R&D facility using advanced CAD/CAM technology. Every prototype is run extensively on the dyno and once approved is tested on the track under the most severe conditions. In many cases LeoVince R&D works hand-in-hand with manufacturer factory race teams for further development. ____________________ Triumph Trophy Launch Edition
