Sticking patches to leather?

Anyone have any ideas what would be the best adhesive to stick patches on leather jackets. Must be weather proof and strong.

Found the experts on that sort of thing. It seems that sewing is the best option. Find a shop that does it.

Bostik works okay, but it's not perfect. The only real decent way of attaching them is sewing them, I wouldnt worry about perforating the leather really, I doubt it would make much of a difference.

No glue will hold for long
You could try a good quality contact adhesive but unless you rough up the leather it will peel off
The only real option is to sew it on if as you say it may be awkward you could try riveting it on but that will make larger holes if you ever remove it

Would have suggested you come to me and I would have a look and sort it but you should be able to find some where closer most cobblers will did it

Yes. Sew or rivett them on.

Your leathers are stitched together anyway.

You can always stick some seam sealer/waterproofer of some kind after sewing it.

if you take them to a decent leather shop they will use waxed thread so they won't leak Thumbs Up

Well I use M4 button-head bolts with washers and nuts to fix my patches on. Go straight through the lining. Then use a small grinding disc on the dremel to take the bolts flush with the nuts.
