Hey.
I've had a set of Dunlop Sportmax Qualifier RR's on the bike now for <1300 miles The rear is coming down to the wear marker faster than a whores underwear reaches her ankles.
Front looks brand new, running correct pressures, not really been thrashing the bike on straights, although did ride to Sonisphere, race a decent car.. but that was for about 3 miles
Any recommendations, 120 70 17 and 190 55 17..
Im looking for a tyre than lasts relatively well (more so than 2500 miles ) and offers decent grip, doesnt have to be edge to edge 100mph corner grip, I'd just not like to slide on molten tarmac.. Mr BT021 |

I've had the Pirelli Angel ST, Fantastic tyres, Did 8k and the rear looked new Only problem I have with them is the cost... If I can find a rear cheap enough, i'll grab it.
My brother in law has Rosso's, he swears by them, but also he thinks you NEED 1000cc on the road, also thinks it should be the law that you wear every piece of safety gear possible, doesnt go above any speed limits and rides like a tart... So I cant judge by his recommendation |

Road 2's are good. Diablo Corsa's are good. Avon Vipers are good.
BT021's are not...
Only tyres i dont have any confidence in. ____________________ Suzuki GT250 x7------- Fazer 600------CB250RS------Aprilia Rally 70----- Bandit 600

I think I have a pair of Metzeler raceteks that are that size. They are scrubs but with some tidy tread on.
Let me check the sizes when I get home and if they are good you're welcome to come pick them up ____________________ Check out our tackle shop on Facebook:

Just checked and yes they are the exact sizes you need. Like I say the tread is tidy, not all gnarled up, decent amount of it left considering they don't come with a great deal in the first place.
I'm in Haverhill so when/if you fancy riding over you're welcome to them. ____________________ Check out our tackle shop on Facebook:

I've got BT016s on the GSXR which are what come with the bike (not the original set though! !) and I can rate them pretty well. Very good grip for spirited riding however on hot days they have a tendency to blister which is detrimental to the grip they give. This is due to the way the compounds are arranged though.
Apart from that, I've thrown a fair bit of abuse at them on the GSXR and they've stood up to it pretty well. They are good enough for trackdays on big motorcycles too. They can handle a good thrashing in the rain also.
People are reporting about ~3000-4000 miles before the rear starts to square off and go, but of course that is dependant on your riding!
My next tyres will either be Supercorsa SPs or Bridgestone R10s, more likely the Supercorsa SPs, heard very good things about them on my bike.
As for tyres, for bikes we've always bought them on eBay, cheaper on there and the tyres are the same. . ____________________ "Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul."
