Ive always found wearing glasses in a full face lid painful after a while. Had several different makes of lid but none have been perfect, and always struggled to get the arms behind my ears. Just bought a Shoei QWest and its the best lid Ive ever had on my nogg. There seems to be more room around my lug holes, and my glasses slide in easily and are a really comfy fit. Spent 5 hours on the bike yesterday and no sore ears or headache's. Top lid! Thumbs Up

Again - it depends on the spectacle frames as well as the lid. If you have Gok Wan-type frames, then the fit will be poor. Wire-type frames are generally not too bad. I'd rather not cut out bits of my helmet to suit, but the suitability of one to the other is not obvious at the time.

My arai chaser was perfect for when I wore glasses as well, my HJC is quite uncomfortable with them as it doesnt have the gaps for the arms to go through

I have a Shoei XR1000 which has cut-outs, but I also wear glasses with a straight arm, so they don't have to go 'behind' my ears, just push into place.

That's how I ended up after an accident (in terms of facial injuries) and it was all because I was wearing glasses.

When I went down and headbutted the floor, my glasses crushed my left cheekbone and broke my left orbit whilst cutting up my face and doing a lot of damage, to show how unsubstantial they are, I wear these:

https://www3.images.coolspotters.com/photos/181030/tag-heuer-eyeglasses-profile.jpg.

Thicker glasses with big rims/big lenses etc would do even more damage.

Ever since then I never wear glasses on the bikes, spend two minutes putting in a pair of daily contacts which:

A) Give better vision as I can see perfect everywhere and I am not limited by the frames.

B) Are comfier.

C) Much safer.

If you have the means (£15-£20 a month) and use the bike a lot, then I'd highly suggest getting a monthly direct debit for a decent set of contacts for use on the bike. You will not regret it.

Mine arn't even £15, I pay £13.99 a month for some monthly lenses from Specsavers.

I tend to leave the things in all day and never have any problems with comfort with them, going back to wearing glasses now really illustrates how limited my vision was with them, too.

^Ouch, that looks nasty, dude.

The problem is, I cannot wear contacts. I have a pair of rimless frames that are made from that memoflex bendy stuff, and the lenses are plastic. Plus I find not crashing really helps! Wink

Those glasses I have are rimless and the handles are flexible, doesn't stop them doing a lot of damage.

Why can't you wear them out of interest? I need toric lenses due to suffering from astigmatism but I don't know of many opthalmic conditions that prevent people from wearing contacts, apart from very severe ones of course.

As for not crashing, sometimes it's just not in your control. Wink.

My work leaves me with a lot of shit in my eyes which is not a good mix with contacts, and i to have bad astigmatisms but I can do without the infections lenses give me. Id be more worried about the airbag going off in my van than crashing in a decent fitting lid while wearing glasses, but then crashing is never the right option! Wink

Paul failed to mention he was wearing one of these at the time of his accident! Wink
