On the 30th of this month we are sailing Newcastle- Amsterdam and going to Norway we have until the 8th July to see as much as we can

Then we have to meet with more friends as we have accommodation booked in Pamplona Spain 11th July for a few day rest and a run with the bull of course?

Ferry home via Amsterdam on the 16th our intended route gives us 5500 mile do you thinks it possible?

Remember to pack a pair of trainers, wouldn't advise this in a pair of big, heavy motorcycle boots. Wink

Sounds like a cool idea, look forward to the write up once you get back.

Mental - but depending on where you go in Norway, you could get to Spain in three days.

I guess you'll be strictly south Norway, so won't get up to Bergen and the likes.

Good luck, I look forward to reading the ride report.

If you are planning to get from Denmark to Sweden I can't help but recommend to visit this:
https://www.wonderfulinfo.com/amazing/oresundbridge/pic02.jpg

Connects København and Malmo.

And I have to show off with the following: Me and my Cat crossing it Smile

It's an average of 350 miles a day over the entire trip, it's far too much because that is a whole days riding so if you have a day off or even half a day off then you need to do twice as much the next day to keep up. You're travelling in completely opposite directions in what is a very small time frame, seems a strange choice, if you've done Sweden before judging by the bridge pic, not sure about Norway? can you not choose somewhere else that fits in better with Spain?

If you're dead set on it then you could actually cut out a large section of travelling and give yourself a rest by travelling back to England and then getting a ferry down to Bilbao.

As I don’t seem to be getting chance to do a trip report so here it is in brief our bikes 99 Vfr800Fi & 03 V Tec

Day 1 Ijmuiden to Malmo via Puttgarden to Rodbyhavn ferry and Malmo bridge 500 miles + and a night out in Malmo

Day 2+3 travelling north through Sweden 1100 mile till we where far enough North to cross into Norway to Mo I Rana where we stayed the night and rode up to Arctic
Circle
Day 4 rode down to Kristiansund,Avery, riding along Atlantic road and the Trollstigen mountain road Geiranger

Day 5 rode to Lysebton

Day 6 Walked to the Kjerag and part ride to Kristiansand

Day 7 Kristiansand to Hirtshals ferry spent the night in Denmark

Day 8 Rode to Assen good night out and booked up for next years Moto GP

Day 9 met up with a mate in Holland rode to Orleans in France good night out

Day 10 rode down to Andorra la Vella to meet with more friends good night out

Day 11 rode up to Pamplona very late night the whole town in to San Fermin

Day 12,13 stayed in Pamplona for bull running and party fantastic worth it just for the atmosphere

Day 14 heading back for ferry stayed over at Oradour-Sur-Glane small town quiet night few beers as normal

Day 15 rode to Breda great town good night out

Day 16 had a wonder round town as we only had 80 mile ride to Ijmuiden got to the terminal early had the usual fish chips and a beer before boarding

Our accommodation was booked for the first night in an F1 in Malmo and for 3 nights in a Hostel in Pamplona apart from that we used camping cabins in
Sweden and Norway small hotels for the rest of the time

My total mileage was 5759 using Avon Storm our only problem was 1 puncture fix road side with liquid repair kit which has done about 1200 mile and still ok

The weather could not have been better we had 2 mornings where we set of in rain but it only lasted an hour and when I get the hang of adding photos I will

Puttgarden to Rodby???? Still keep a postcard I bought from the ferry Smile

Loved the road between Rodby and Copenhagen, cheapest Shell garage in the whole of Scandinavia just off it Smile

You've done some serious mileage, most of it I presume on dual carriageways/motorways?

Hated Breda, all I did there was getting high off my bones and pass out in the hotel. Mind you, that day I covered about 800 miles, so I looked and felt like a Haribo Smile

Dual carriageways/motorways to Denmark/Sweden after but leaving Malmo no main roads at all don’t even no if they have them? Out side the cities
We did how ever come across a couple of Elk wondering in the road which was good as we never see more than sheep in the UK

Once back on main land Europe back on the dual carriageways/motorways it was a bit of a must to cram every thing in to what started out as week in Pamplona?

From Andorra to Pamplona N roads N260 or 240 I think it was form Pamplona to Oradour was a bit of both

We hit Assen on a Saturday night so that was pretty good and Breda was a Friday night all the bars and café were full and it was a warm night so made for a good atmosphere

Now I have seen both Norway and Pamplona I will return but to one at a time

I have one trip left this that’s to Brno for the GP via Newcastle Amsterdam ferry sailing on the 10th should any one be on it I’m sure we can have a beer

Next years is penciled in for Montenegro all been well

That's a good one. I did 5,500miles over about a month and it was amazing.

Will you be cramming it into 2 weeks?

Was planning less than that actually. But using motorways to Malaga and from Switzerland onwards. Or similar alternatives if paid.

But this is the route I've planned anyways Smile

As the time comes I will start a new thread about places to see, ways to go, etc.

At 340miles a day every day for 2 weeks, I don't think you'll need to worry about places to see Laughing
