Hi, Just felt one of my lower teeth wobble. WTF!

I'm 18, and from this picture I reckon it's a lower canine.

https://www.tygerriverfamilydentistry.com/ei_0017.gif

Canine - cuspid, it's wobbling like it wants to come out...

Never been to the dentist before to have a filling or anything just check ups, should I be bricking myself? Crying or Very sad

Cheers!

Karma Thumbs Up

I'm not a dentist, but having undergone lots of dental work and doing a lot of reading on the subject i'm fairly knowledgeable...
Well knowledgeable enough to tell you to go to a dentists anyway Laughing

Provided it's not been knocked recently or it's not in some sever crowding you shouldn't be having any issues with it.

I too didn;t go tot he dentists for many many years (12 till... 23?) and i had half a crown break off one of my molars. There was no point but it was horrible. It happend on new years eve too and i was living in wales at the time where the supply of NHS dentists is laughable. On new years day i got some find a dentist number off the internet where i rang up and they had an appointment sorted for me at a dentists 30 miles away on new years day. It was a private one so i had to pay (£65) but got good friendly service and a tooth coloured filling in it that makes it look like it's good as new,
In my case i think an old filling had allowed the tooth to rot from the inside leaving it looking fine until it collapsed, like i said there was no pain.
In your case it's possible you have a root issue. could be a short root, broken root or even a rotten root. It might also be fine.

Cost wise:
New patient check up (They will check everything just cause well, why not?): £40-60
X-Ray: £15 per side, they might well do both
Filling: £30 - 80
Root filling: £200

Given some onf those prices it;s tempting to put it off, in which case a rescuable tooth may be lost and costs will only go up. Or try and find an NHS dentist. But they seriously don't give a fuck, they will probably give you 2 options, pull it out or fuck off. They will also make you wait weeks for an appointment.

If you're a student most dentists will treat you at about 50-70% of the usual price. I'm poor as fuck yet it's private every time at the dentists for me from now on.

...except for the £3500 of work i'm getting done for free by university dental students Wink

I HATE needles. Even looking at that word makes me feel ill.
For a filling they'll have to give you one of 2 of them and it aint much fun, they usually put some numbing stuff onto your gum first though. Mostly for me it's the thought of it, it doesn't hurt THAT badly. The aesthetic tastes last shit so you'll want to rinse. Also when numb your lips feel huuuuge, even though they're not Laughing
The drilling is painless and vibration free, but the sound of a bit off putting. The filling itself is just a paste they put on then set with an ultra bright UV light you'll see them using an orange piece of plastic to shield their eyes from.
With any luck you'll get a fit assistant you don't want to squeel like a little bitch in front of and be forced to man the fuck up Wink

Question. Do your gums bleed when you brush your teeth?

Look up Gingivitis if so.
