A guy on another forum called STUNTMAN2000 can get CCTV dead cheap. He caught someone stealing his car on it and attempting to steal his bike (several times).

Just say Danny told you about him.

Here's what he said when I was interested in getting one.

Quote:
Yes mate dead easy.....no wires.

Comes ready to go.... small base unit plugs into your video recorder, and just put the camera inside or outdoors were ever you want upto 100 meters away (even in a garage) it is radio signal so there is no wires from the camera to the base unit....it's great,
crystal clear full colour and great sound.

I just have a 4hr video tape on LP and just press record twice a day, that gives me 24/7 cover...

I can get them for £55 inc P&P in the UK.

If ya want one let me know... you can collect it from here (Liverpool) or send me the cash and I'll post it to ya.

Norty Mart got one off me ask him what he thinks of it.

I got something very similar for £30, including an IR illuminator for when the lights are off. Required a bit of Brick Wall to set up but well worth it if it lets me catch someone messing with my stuff and disembowel them.

The problem I have is that I need 4 and don't want 4 seperate videos/monitors. I have some decent equipment - Time Lapse 24 hour VHS recorder and 8 way multi cam controller - so I'd like to just ad to that. If all fails I can get a wired set of 3 or 4 cameras from Makro, with IR illumination and, I beleive, motion detection.

Does your controller thingy have a mode to cycle through all the inputs on a timer? That way you only have to record/watch one screen.

You got a link for that cctv you have Korn?

I like the look of the ones that automatically start recording when something moves, that way saves having to have a recorder running all the time.

Could just set up a little server type pc with a webcam and appropriate program running I guess. But that means building another pc thing.
