Right, i have no idea how to go about painting fairings and the tank. If somebody could point me in the right direction that would be great. Oh and Karma Very Happy

Paintbrush and paint.

If it's a bike that you want to look nice and you (evidently) haven't done it before it's probably best to take it to a professional.

sand till its flat but has loads of small scratches for the primer to key too.

plastic primer ( on fairings ) may need a very fine sand in places after its dry to make sure its perfectly flat. 2 coats of paint, again may need slight sand between coats. then 2 coats of laquar.

as for the metal, i havent painted metal before. i presume its the same method but with different primer and possibly different paint

i would practise on a cheap piece of car trim, just to get a feel for it.

plastic is pretty easy to be honest, the tank will be the hard part

If you have a search through the workshop there are loads of guides on painting which will give you a good idea of how to get started

also 2 pack paints and laquers contains isocyanates which can fuck your shit up. you need the proper gear if you gonna spray that

cellulose paint can be sprayed at home with the correct mask and filter
