Currently has a 130/80/17 BT45 but could i fit a BRIDGESTONE BT45 130/70 - 18 ? manufacturer recommends 17'' but wasn't sure

just in case you don't understand why,

the 130 is the width the 70 is the profile of the tyre as a % of the width and the 17 is the wheel size,

you can go a size either way on the width and profile but your wheel size can't change

eg you could fit a 140/70 -17 or a 120/80 -17
you could even squeeze a 150/70-17 on the standard 3.5" gs rim (not entirely recommended, but its the standard size for the bandit 400 with the same wheel)
