I've just binge watched The Expanse. Series 4 is a little weak but on the whole it was fantastic and I am looking forward to series 5.

Space thing, starts off with 2 stories running which is a little meh..... Then all of a sudden the hook gets you and drags you though the rest of the series and yoinks you though the other 3 seasons.

SPOILER ALERT

Yep. Season 3 was Netflix funded. Very sweary and boring. Too rushed as well, Hannah's death for instance.

Avenue 5. Space drama/comedy with Hugh Laurie and other familiar faces. On Episode 3 now, probably the best thing since The Orville. 9/10 so far.

The Stranger on Netflix.
British psychodrama of some sort.
Quite a few familiar faces.
Paul Kaye, Jennifer Saunders, Anthony Head.

Yep, just watched the trailer for this, looks good. Richard Armitage always gives a great performance and he was excellent in Spooks. So I am going to make myself a bacon sarnie with cheese and ketchup and a caramel latte and watch the first episode pronto.

Scream Queens:
Cracking horror spoof by the same writers of American Horror Story. It's set in a sorority house where a psycho killer is targeting students. It has some great over the top performaces, including from Jamie Lee Curtis as a scheming University dean.
The way it sends up poor little rich girls is hilarious.

Just finished this. It's good. A lot going on, some of which is superfluous but holds your attention.

Lots of impossibly beautiful houses to gaze at.

Best thing though is Paul Kaye going full-on batshit at various junctures. Superb

The Good Place - Netflix

Last night was the release of the finale after 4 series.

Bloody marvellous. Lovely to look at, laugh-out-loud funny, thought-provoking on the meaning of life & death and what comes after. Moral philosophy and examination of the human condition under-pinned all 4 series, which makes it sound heavy. It really isn’t.

The finale cleverly resolved ALL of the previous episodes and each character had their own fitting “end”. Sad but happy🤔 and unusual for a series to actually have an end these days rather than milking series after series.

Probably the best TV series I’ve ever watched.

Edit: You should watch it Dance!

Hunters: Amazon Prime.
I cant give it a score as I'm only two episodes in. Its very odd though. Set in 1977 it follows the activites of a bunch of anti nazis as they hunt down ww2 nazis hudung out in the US. Its filmed in a seventies exploitation movie style with Al Pacino as millionare jewish leader of the group.
There's something very awkward about it as it serves up one after another example of rightous justice violently meated out.

The Walking Dead series.

This is the very first time I'm watching this and I quite enjoy it, I must say. Funny enough, there is even a quarantine episode in the season 4, that fits the current Coronavirus inconvenience. Thinking

For some reason I did not watch this when it was released and now, as I'm stuck at home for pretty much whole week but one day, that I'm supposed to go to work, I decided to give this a go.

At this time, I'm getting to the end of the season 4 and so far I'd say solid 8/10. 40 minute episodes not ideal to binge watch but then, I'm stuck at home anyway.

EDIT: I did play the TellTale video game adaptation while back and very much enjoyed it. If you've never played it, give it a go. Thumbs Up

Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem & Madness (Netflix)

About obsessive keepers of tigers, lions and big cats in the good ole USofA culminating in fraud, rivalry, cruelty and murder for hire.

The (self-proclaimed) Tiger King himself is a peroxide-mulleted, gun-toting, part-time Country & Western singer who is also gay, polygamous and batshit mental. It's not a spoiler to disclose that he ends up in jail.

Surrounded by a retinue of toothless meth addicts, conmen and amputees, the Tiger King runs (badly) a massive tiger breeding zoo.

He even runs for President at one point.

There are 7 episodes but don't let that put you off, it's gripping and every episode has a minimum of 17 WTAF moments.

It is Korean and is subbed. 2 seasons now.

Zombies and mayhem in Ye Olde Korea. I was hooked pretty much from the beginning.

Finished watching Mr Robot. Awesome series, no wonder it was critically acclaimed.

Now watching Manifest and Picard. Both pretty good, the latter has many special guest stars from earlier Star Treks.

I rate most Korean stuff...however, I don't like it when they do silly / funny. It doesn't work for me.

I watched Vagabond, Korean series with subtitles and I really enjoyed it. Tongue-in-cheek humour rather than slapstick. It went on a bit...they could have wound it up sooner. But the acting was great, so I kept with it. 7/10.

Highly recommended!

I had the (mis)fortune to get hooked on this and spend many, many hours binge watching until the early hours of the morning quite regularly, to the point all 3 seasons were done in a couple of weeks, but my productivity at work bombed!

Great show though Thumbs Up
