Not a box set but last week's Elephant Hospital series was good.

If you want an unpleasant job, imagine a group of Elephants with an infection which causes their colons to become blocked.

Unable to fart, the gases build up and swell their stomachs which easily causes death.

The cure was a large degree of hands up bums, Elephant sized enemas until finally it all comes out. The average Elephant shits 20 times a day so you can imagine that was quite an incident.

Dark, mind bending German time travel drama. It's dubbed but quite well. I've finished all three series and it's a trip, not sure I understand what happened though ad the plot is labyrinthine.

Thanks for this. Watched last night and four episodes deep already.

Watched the first four episodes last night.

Quite reminiscent of Stranger Things.

I'm already on Season 2 Episode 4 now.
The first few episodes are fairly dull, people wandering around looking confused and sh1t me it doesn't half rain a lot there.

But after that it doesn't half get good as things fall into place.

The Singapore Grip: British Empire arsewits just prior to the fall of Singapore in WWII. Charles Dance is in it so you get the gist. If you like a bit of death of empire costume drama then you will like this. Another plus is it's upset some pc media police types https://variety.com/2020/tv/news/itv-singapore-grip-criticism-asian-characters-colonialism-beats-1234761364/

To be honest I'm really surprised about this, most dramas/documentaries these days are uber PC, reminding us of our colonial shame.

I watched a documentary on Nelson last week and it turned into whether or not Nelson endorsed slavery, since he was defending the British Empire which was doing it. I'm sure had Napolean won instead he would have been BLM kneeling.

My Octopus Teacher - Netflix

Documentary. A guy freedives every day and forms a special bond with an octopus, yes an octopus, over the course of a year. Fantastic photography, soaring soundtrack and quite emosh Crying or Very sad

Also on Netflix, “Ratched” the backstory of the sadistic nurse in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Incredibly stylish 1940’s cars, smoking and clothes, decor framing quite gruesome and disturbing action. From one of the guys behind American Horror Story. I’m only 2 episodes in but liking it very much so far......... Wink

Oooo yes, Rached is on my To Do list.

Octopus guy sounds cool as well.
Little-known fun fact about hellkat:
When I was a gonky teenager, I used to be so into all that animal stuff (long before David Attenborough got on the telly) that I had one of those collector sets, laminated cards that came in these little boxes, separating species out into sub types. The cards had all the Latin names (which I knew), lots of differentiating things between one subclass and another, I knew all of them, for lots of different species. I'd get them out and pore over them for hours, sorting them into class, order, genus, whatevs whatevs. I could even tell the difference between a crocodile and an alligator Laughing Gerald Durrell was my hero cos of his zoo on Jersey that rescued rare breeds. But then I got all sophistomacated and let it all go.

But I like the enthusiasm of naturalists. Wub

For all Mankind.

An interesting series based around an alternet reality in which the Soviets landed on the moon first, leading to an extension of the Apollo Program.

That is an excellent series I bought all the series when they first came out to take to sea for evening entertainment. I ended up having to limit myself to an episode a night as I was binge watching and not getting enough sleep.

Space Above and Beyond. 1995 - 1996 originally aired. Only 23 episodes, sort of like Battlestar Galactica but better.

I watched that when originally on TV.
I was really disappointed they didn't do another series - it was really good.

Where did you find it?

Stafford CEX. Bloke in front of me in the queue had some box sets, gave him £15 for this and married with children box set. He was going to get £7 exchange voucher for Space AAB so he was happy.
