This is simply awesome viewing, the man can do no wrong. A 6 part series, I binge watched the lot. I sincerely hope they do a series 2.

Season 2 has been greenlit.

I'm not a RG fan, but this was brilliant. Funny and heartwarming and sad all in one. Very much recommended by me.

Why did nobody tell me about Santa Clarita Diet on Netflix?

Its just silly enough to have taken my mind off all this shite going on in my life.

Only halfway through Season 1 but some genuinely funny laugh out loud moments.

Cool

Barry is back with season 2. Bill Hader is a hitman who's trying to live a normal life. The first season was excellent.

Never heard of it that's why!

Speaking of shows I'd never watch, fleabag is being promoted all over the show at the moment, from the synopsis I get the feeling it would be right up your street. London centric comedy drama with sexual references Laughing

Love Death and Robots on Netflix

It is weird as heck, made up of short episodes about different things but the central themes are love, death and robots. Apparently it shows in a one of four different orders so my episode list might be different to anyone else who watches. Some episodes are cartoons, most are computer animated, one is live action. My favourite ones are Three Robots, Ice Age, The Witness, When the Yoghurt Took Over, Good Hunting, Shape Shifters, Fish Night and Lucky 13.

I still have a couple of episodes to go so might change my mind later about favourite episodes!

Sonnie's edge, The secret war and Lucky 13 were the best imho.

Really enjoying Love, Death and Robots! Excellent call Wub

I'm currently trying to decide if the voiceover in "Yoghurt" has been done by the same person who does Brain in Pinky & The Brain.

Anyone mentioned "Doom Patrol" yet? Some seriously mind bending f*cked up sh*t. The baddy is Alan Tudyk...

(He also plays a gay A.I. in "The Tick.")

I've taken a break from Love, Death and Robots (you can only watch so much of it before you get ... overwhelmed.

And have started to watch Top of the Lake, woot!

Somehow I missed it first time round and have been meaning to catch up with it for ages.

Just like being back home Laughing

Its Maurice LaMarche, who does indeed voice Brain. He has been in loads of stuff including Rick and Morty, Futurama, The Simpsons and Hey Arnold!

I've started recently with Dead to Me, which - whilst probably more likely to be One For the Mrs - is proving to be really very good.

... in a chick flick sort of way ... Shifty

Anita recommends Brooklyn Nine Nine, which is kind of funny but has few hot men in it.

edit: No, okay, I take that back. The new captain is quite hot ... in a "grouchy big black poof" sort of way. Cool Laughing

Very well done, great cast, funny enough, worth it.

Heard good things about Chernobyl so will watch the first one this weekend. Win all round, because I'll be able to tell the family my favourite 'dad' joke of all time:

Why should you never wear Russian underpants?

Because Chernobyl fall-out....

I'll get my coat.

Anita has talked me* into going back and watching some more Black Mirror episodes.

Brilliant stuff.
Unnervingly believable in a world not all that many years from now.

*not terribly difficult Laughing

Agree, that Christmas special one was really frightening.

The Tick
Seen it advertised for ages and then saw that Peter Serefiniwich plays the title role so have watched episode one. Its too late to watch another episode but just watching episode one I wish i had given it a go earlier.
It's very nutty and an excellent send up of the super-hero genre.

We're not allowed to mention Chernobyl around my brothers house because his grandfather inlaw was actually the designer of the Chernobyl reactor. Its a tricky subject Rolling Eyes

I finished series 2 of Fleabag, great little series with several Laugh Inappropriately Out Loud moments.

Also binged season of Ghosts, a quirky little British comedy which MCW recommended to me.

This week I am mostly "resting" from office work, and so will probably be returning to finish American Gods 2, Top of the Lake>China Girl and the new Black Mirror.
