Watched Years and Years on the I player.

About a typical diverse family starting in 2019 and going forwards 15 years or so.

The political side seems realistic, Orange man getting a second term, and the rise of a British politician who says it like it is.

Technology side less so, AI and neural uploading. Not in my lifetime I'm sorry to say.

Brockmire - 8/10 (season 1)

Hank Azaria is a major league baseball announcer who has a meltdown during a live broadcast and now has to get back to the top from the very bottom. He's the classic old school kind of lad, who drinks, says whatever he wants and doesn't really understand modern technology and social media.

I liked Hank ever since he's done Huff in early 2000's and for the Simpsons.

Excellent modern Western starring Kevin Costner. If you like the American West and violent, gritty dramas, this is the show for you Thumbs Up

Netflix

about Mexican drug cartels and a womans rise through it

good action programme with three seasons so far

Highly recommended!

I had the (mis)fortune to get hooked on this and spend many, many hours binge watching until the early hours of the morning quite regularly, to the point all 3 seasons were done in a couple of weeks, but my productivity at work bombed!

did all three in just over a week

am now about 5 episodes away from finishing power

cheesy acting but a decent storyline and lots of boobs

Great show though Thumbs Up

The Midnight Gospel 9/10 (when very high) 7.5/10 (sober)

It's on Netflix, it was released on 4/20 which sort of tells you all you need to know.

They have a dwarf President sat on the white house roof shooting zombies while discussing hallucinogens.

Started to watch Season 2 of Afterlife on Netflix.

Ricky Gervais is a fuckin' genius in my eyes. Only 3 episodes in and it is even better than Season 1, which I thought was nigh on perfect as it was!

Gangs Of London. All episodes available now, wither SKY or NOWTV or from the usual places. Gritty, well acted, compelling.

9 episodes, good stuff.

I have just watched the first season of The Mandalorian. It is actually very good and I am looking forwards to series 2 now. In the meantime I have 11 Star Wars films to watch.

You might like Brain Dead then, on Prime. Washington politics mixed with invasion of alien bugs.

"Defending Jacob" on Apple TV+

Fantastic, riveting show thus far. Actually makes me want to read the novel it's based on.

Yep, all on Disney+, Mandalorian is superb, I've 2 episodes left of the first series. Some good stuff on Disney+, if you have an 02 sim you get Disney+ £2 cheaper.

Space Force (Netflix) - 8/10

It's a comedy series where Steve Carell is a general running a new branch of the US army, the Space force. He's like a toned down Michael Scott (the 'merican version of the Office). John Malkovich is his advisor.

Quite a nice surprise, to be honest. The jokes and comedic bits are well paced and well written. Steve Carell does a great job and it was nice to see John Malkovich there as well.

Good call ('murican pun intended) - occasional Yank in jokes, but overall very amusing, with some proper laugh-out-loud gags.

Netflix: Unorthodox.
Interesting watch.
It's about a girl who leaves her ultra-orthodox Jewish life in New York.

Makes a change from zombies, dodgy lawyers, serial killers or saturnine detectives Laughing

Edit:Finished that. Very good. Even watched the "Making Unorthodox" thing afterwards. Not only the actual story about the woman herself, but also the programme about the filming was interesting in that they had not ever filmed anything totally spoken in Yiddish.

Very good.
If you like that sorta thing.

Okay, tried again; Can't connect to that at all Rolling Eyes

So I started watching The Sinner.
Bill Pullman (to whom I've never really paid much attention before) doing a not-at-all bad job of being a dysfunctional police detective.

The first two seasons were very good.

The third season may prove to be a little more challenging.
I'm getting proper into it, have spent all day lying on the sofa watching it, but I fell asleep this afternoon, and woke up at a place where I groggily heard the main protagonists agreeing to what sounded like a pact of burying each other alive - which is one of my few major neuroses, even just thinking about it makes me breathless with fear.

Fell back asleep again, only to wake up halfway through one of them actually being buried and struggling with it, which I partly listened to but couldn't bear to watch ... and now I don't think I can bring myself to watch the rest of it Crying or Very sad

The horror. Shocked

I started watching Altered Carbon on netflix pretty decent tech/sci fi noir

also watched Unbelievable, netfix mini series about a serial rapist, based on a true story, was pretty good bit feminist at times.

Raising Dion, small boy discovers he has super powers, started off quite well but then descended into a super woke sjw wank fest, it seemed like it was aimed at teaching kids to be less shitty to each other. It was so right on, it would have made MPD72's head explode.

Talked myself back into watching the end of S3 of The Sinner.
And indeed it was very good.
Despite the two almost overpowering moments where I had feelings of suffocation while watching the enforced burial Shocked Shocked that was a bit fucking intense.

So I have had a self-imposed weekend indoors because, well ... something inside me told me I just needed it.
Hence there have been many MANY sofa hours of bingewatching and sofa sleeping this weekend.

I am therefore wrapping up my extremely lazy weekend with as much of New Amsterdam S2 from Amazon Prime as I can squeeze into the rest of this evening Laughing And then tomorrow I can go back to being all

"How can I help?"

... in a genuine and invested way.

Cool
