It would be ok if it wasnt for Mother. You know she nevet going to get killed off though so makes the prospect of trudging through the rest of the series a bore.

The Brink

it's okay, 5.5/10 funny at times, but not enough satire

more dumb and dumber meets Dr.Strangelove than a political satire

Its got the guy from Hunger games and the moody woman from young scrubs (she's still moody). The humour is very crass which's perfect for me. Only one series (30 min' episodes) but there's another coming Thumbs Up

They've social f**ked series 2 Crying or Very sad

Last Resort

crew of a nuclear sub get a very dodgy order to fire and ignore it, hold up on a small island and stand off against the world

interesting, albeit far fetched premise, pilot was okay

watched two episodes now and it looks like it is going to be a pretty formulaic show - with the usual tv tropes, cliff hangers, power struggles and shadowy conspiracies - I fear the latter will be of the will we / won't we get another series nonsense

might stick with it, but

Grace and Frankie, series 5.
I had forgotten just how much I once fancied Martin Sheen.

I've had to put Grace and Frankie on hold due to having discovered The Casketeers on Netflix.

Its a short series, based in NZ, reality not fiction, about a funeral directors run by a Maori couple. Its just *wonderful* Wub

Interesting, beautiful, touching and yet occasionally comical in a way that you can only recognise when you personally know a bunch of Maoris, who can be such soulful, gentle people.

Bonus: dodgy antipodean accents , but also peppered with the occasional haka, yay.

Binged on 5 episodes of Cobra Kai tonight using my free month trial of You Tube premium. I'm absolutely loving it. Nostalgia trip.

The Staircase, only 3 episodes in and I'm gobsmacked.

Like making a murderer, it's following a real life apparent murder case over many years.

Not sure if he did it or not Thinking and I've deliberately not read up on it.

Tin Star

2/3rd through first series in a few days. I quite like, not brilliant, but watchable.

Am now avidly against tv license also. Used to be vaguely, but seriously, I hardly watch anything on bbc now.

Sex Education on Netflix?

No - really don't bother. Really.

I just mention it out of interest, because we were persuaded here that it might be worth a watch... anyway the opening scene featured a teenage girl, stark naked on top of her bf, vigorously shagging him with her baps flying everywhere. My lad commented, 'She looks just like a girl who was in my year at school'. Then, after consulting his phone, he said "Fucking hell, it IS that girl from school!"

So of course we had to watch the rest of the ep, at least.

It looks total shit from the adverts, also I'm suspicious over how much advertising it seems to be getting.

Actually, it was sub par. I reckon they got the message there would be no second series, and then did a mad scramble to get it all wrapped up, and it was just a mess, not helped by Amazon missing an episode and mislabelling it. At least I think they missed one, cos the "previously on..." made no sense at one point.

Would have been better as a tv movie, or 4 or 6 episodes.

Had potential, but meh. Avoid.

Gearing up for DAS BOOT on Sky Atlantic, all going on the sky plus.

Being a fan of the original film which happens to be one of the first dvd film's I ever bought, I'm giving the series a go.
