What do you think, i'm sure its been done before, thinking of getting a little smart car and sticking a hayabusa or blackbird engine in it? How quick and scary would it be? Shocked

I wanna sell my cage and want a replacement thats relatively cheap and lightening quick for when its too cold to bike

Erm, think there was a thread on here a short time ago about a company that's sticking GSXR1000 engines in them.

Although it wouldn't have the embarrassing people off the lights value, I reckon a turbo busa engine could be interesting in one of their 'roadsters' Smile.

and if you're going the turbo busa route you need 4WD Twisted Evil

I think 700-750 bhp might be a bit excessive

but then again

I still say we need one engine per wheel... so about 1400hp for turbo'd engines.

Of coures we would require some sophisticated electronics to make it go straight and maybe a slightly stiffened frame Razz.

There will be a company somewhere that will do anything. I've seen a reliant kitten fitted with a ZZR1100 engine, owner was using it for rallying.

I recon what ever you modify with a bike engine will cost you as much in insurance as keeping your original car, at least. It's a nice idea though, must admit that when I thought about learning to drive a similar thought crossed my mind.

I must admit I like the sound of a 'sleeper' 2.0 litre twin engine mini Twisted Evil Imagine the looks on the Scooby boys if you beat them off the line, plus I bet it would sound fucking mental Mr. Green

(Helps that I've always loved mini's though)

Hi

Suspect a 2L Mini would go in a fairly random direction when you tried to move off quickly.

Years ago there was a guy who built a Reliant Robin for racing, but could not find anyone to let him race it (car clubs said it had 3 wheels so was a bike, the bike clubs said it was a car) so put in on the road. He got caught speeding at 107mph, with the excuse that the speedo only went up to 80 and he was not flat out.

Think MCN tested it before he got banned and managed to record a true 125mph out of it.

All the best

Keith

Got a mate doing a motorsport degree, he's just done a project putting a bike engine into a kit car, he's seriously considering the whole 1 bike engine per wheel idea, but on a supermini that handles really well, like a peugeot 106. Definitely food for though, and how trick would those motorbike exhausts look Twisted Evil

I'd like to see a car with a phat v-twin in it, like a 1800.
[boy racer]imaging how large the exhaust could be and how phat it'd sound! [/boy racer]
