I do like the shape of those, but I think if I personally were going for that sort of bike I'd have an XJR400.

That doesn't mean you haven't got a great bike there though. Enjoy!

It's been sprayed nicely, though some honda stickers / badges on the tank might look nice. The paint is so dark and glossy that it makes what is a fairly clean engine look bad. Get the polish out while your waiting to be able to ride it. Routine stuff like doing the brakes, adjusting the chain etc would also be good to do now while you can't ride it, and you'll probably be too busy to want to do so once you're allowed on it.

One of my friends had one for a few years before going to a 600 Bandit.
He loved it, and probably regrets getting rid of it ; it was all A or B road stuff that he used it for.

They seem to be a great machine,

Enjoy !

Looks a very nice first big bike there, I started on a CG too and can't really complain about it.

I did the same as you and bought the SV before I did my MOD2, so while I couldn't ride it the thing got stripped of all it's plastics and done over with ACF 50, brakes stripped, cleaned and greased, Chain checked for tight spots and re-tensioned then all back together with a good clean and a couple of coats of a decent wax Thumbs Up

The wax makes it easier to clean = more time to ride, at this rate it will do 8-9K by the time I have had it a year.
