 |
|
Hi, new here *waves* I just bought myself THE most beautiful NSR 125 (pictured)
https://gallery.cybertarp.com/albums/userpics/12394/NSR.jpg
Anyway, I bought this fabulous piece of two stroke recent history because it's just an amazing looking/running bike, took me ages to find it. Now that it's myne, I want to make it sound a little beefier, it sounds like a 125, thats my only problem, any ideas people? What can I do to this bike to make it a bit more raspier/growl-ish
any input would be fantastic!!! |

The only way you can make it sound 'beefier' is by killing the performance. It doesn't sound like a 125, it sounds like a 2-stroke, which is a nice sound .

Welcome to the strangeness that is BCF Danny
Nice looking NSR you have there, as to how to make it sound nicer, the only suggestion I can make is to change the engine for something nice like a 900cc triple ____________________ I spend all my money on bikes and beer, the rest I simply waste! |

It sounds like a 2-stroke because it is, theres nothing wrong with that. At least u don't ride a 125 scooter...
If you want beef, pass your test and get a bigger bike

To be honest there's not much you can do to make it sound different, without knackering performance.
It sounds like a 125 because it is a 125 - pass your test and upgrade to make it sound better .
If all you want is a beefier sound, get a 4 stroke 125. ____________________ Yamaha TDM 850 |

www.apexleisure.co.uk these people sell jolly moto and arrows exhausts for the NSR
it will sound beefier, but not four stroke beefy, just manic screaming kinda thing, top stuff ____________________ So in other words, he stopped you for being flagrantly in posession of a motorcycle in direct contravention of the Hippies, Darkies and People Whose Face I Don't Like The Look of (Police Powers) Act. 1976 |

Bah take the baffles out the exhaust or cut the little pece of at the end of the exhuast. my old exhaust was like this and it was a fair amount louder.
Either that or put a nice DR650 engine in it! Mmmm Four stroke single loudness ____________________ Regards
