Hi I have a Suzuki 125 burgman which I love to bits.
But, it has this terrible habit of whilst riding coughing then cutting out on me in the most stupidest and dangerous places and then won't start .
I have taken it back to the dealers numerous times but apart from sticking a new carb on it with heaters ( which seemed to work for a little while they can't find anything wrong.
Can anyone suggest what it might be as the bike's back with them at the moment and I'm missing it.
Cheers , jan the pan. Sad

Hi

A carb heater normally fixes carb icing, which you can get in cold damp weather. Check it is still working. Another fix for the same problem is a fuel additive. There are a few around, so try one of those and see if that fixes the problem.

All the best

Have you made any modifications to it?

I think water was getting in when mine was doing that.

Never tried any, but plenty of people say to use Silkolene FST (think). Also I think VW dealers will sell a fairly decent one.

All the best
