Dead as a dodo

Evening chaps!

I fired up my bike ('05 zx6r 636) on Friday but as I wheeled it out the garage it cut out on me. Tried switching it back on and nothing, dead as a dodo.

Today I went down and tried again and got nothing.

When I switch the alarm off (datatool system 3) the indicators flash and it beeps as normal. When i turn the key to the "on" position I get nothing at all, nothing on the dash lights up and it doesn't do its speedo/rev test and I cannot switch on lights or indicators. After 30 seconds the alarm re-arms, so it doesn't even detect that the ignition is in the "on" position.

I checked all the fuses... ECU, ignition and starter as well as the lights, horn etc. and they are all ok. I've checked the battery connections are all done up tight. I tried sitting on it with kickstand up, clutch in and both neutral and 1st but it makes no difference.

As a last resort I shoved it up the hill (twice.... which is no easy task for a fat man like myself) and tried bumping it from 1st and 2nd gears ...nothing.

Anyone have any ideas what else it could be before I need to call out the pros to come and have a look at it?

forgot to add... when it fired up on Friday the ignition sounded healthy, so I don't think the battery is dead
