2000 miles over oil change

as the title says ive went 2000 miles over the last oil change, will this cause any damage i used motul 5100 on the last change. i changed it at 16800 and its now at 21900, the recomended change is 3500 miles

It won't hurt it no. Just change it as soon as you can. Recommended intervals are usually on the conservative side.

How long since the last change? If it's less than a year then change it after a year, if it's more than a year then change it soonish.

Hmm, I'd probably change it soonish. I'd say that getting water and fuel into the oil from lack of use would hurt it more than it being broken down from the miles, but neither are ideal.
