Just seems gimmicky to me. Also the description isn't amazingly clear or professional. Have you even got your NSR 125 yet?

Load of tosh, I've never seen one before on any engine and I doubt a lot of people have, there's generally a reason for that.

Secondly, it is only allowing more air in which will alter the fuel/air ratio which means the carburettor would need rejetting and probably run rough as it says it's more useful for lower RPM. This further increases my belief that it's tosh.

Also, thirdly, it's an NSR125, if you want to go faster, pass your test.

Boost bottles are just small sealed chambers that connect to the manifold of 2 stroke engines. They're fairly common in the gimmicky 'ped tuning community.

Essentially what happens in a 2t engine is that the engine sucks in petrol, the piston goes up but the petrol wants to keep flowing. This just meets the piston and then goes back into your carb essentially making your fuel mixture double meaning the engine is running rich. With a boost bottle the petrol flow back goes into the boost bottle and gets compressed. This then shoots back into the cylinder allowing for faster combustion and a quicker stroke.

They might slightly improve throttle response but its not worth the money/hassle of fitting them in my view.

At least, thats what im lead to believe. How true this is and how much of it is utter sh*t I dont know. Im sure Keith will be along soon to confirm.

This sounds alot like the powerband jokes people play on the newbs so I doubt that it actually does anything.
