Basically, was wondering if it's legal to ride in france on a 50cc with a full moped licence.

This is

Car licence + CBT = full ped licence in the UK. Is this legal to use over in france and the like? I think CBT only is not recognized but what about the full car licence?

Cheers. Cool

Licence conditions and entitlements are transferable between member states on short trips
In france, ped licences are less strict than here, some peds in france don't need ANY licence at all so you'll be fine with cbt and car licence.

Not so. Most EU countries have an age limit of 18 for driving cars, whereas in the UK, it's 17; with a UK licence, a 17-year-old cannot drive a car in an EU country that has 18 as a limit.
