Hi really simple question got a new chain and sprockets for my zxr 400 the chain comes in a packet that contains grease so it's well coated with it, i assume this grease means i don't need to lube the chain with chain lube once it's fitted as i assume the grease is a sufficient lube itself?

cheers
chris

The factory grease is the bestest ever greasing the chain will ever get.

The little packet you get is to lube up the rivit link before and after fitting.

id realised the small packet was for the rivet link all those bits were in a seperate small bag, but the inside of the bag the chain was in is absolutely plastered in grease which i didn't know if that needed removing but now i know it doesn't so alls good

I would wipe over the chain with a dry rag as to avoid making a grinding paste as dirt sticks to the excess grease. Leave a thin layer behind but it doesn't need to be caked in grease. Thumbs Up
