My drivers licence is up for renewal. Those last 10 years have flown in!

And the DVLA want £20 off me to stick a new picture on a licence for me. Its not really my fault that I am getting old so I dont know why I should pay £20 for this service.

I remember a while back there was a post on BCF about how to avoid paying certain DVLA charges for things, for example if you loose your licence tell them that you have changed address and there is no fee or less of a fee.

I need to change the picture (as I have had had a licence for 10 years) on the licence and also change my address too.

Any ways to get round this?

well its better to pay 20 notes for a picture change on a licence than a passport renewal at nearly a 100 notes

we want to drive or ride we have to pay for the privalge to learn and to have a piece paper with a pic on it to say we can

tbh i still have my paper licence they have all your details on a database so ive never bothered to change the dvla says it valid till im 70 so why change it Laughing

Didn't work for me when I tried to (cunningly, Baldrick) change my address at the same time the license was up for renewal last Summer. Sadly I think you'll just have to suck it up.

I recently changed my photo, sent off the £20, but because it took them 2 months to get my licence back to me I complained and got my money back Shocked
