Hi,

Anyone got any strong opinions or good/bad experience with CIA Insurance. They're providing a good quote for insurance.

Thanks

They quoted me on my 'busa when no-one else would, and (back then) were very relaxed about mods, wanting everything listed but not charging for them. Was a good few years ago (7 or so).

Yes they're pretty good, quite helpful phone helpline for an insurance company (if such a thing exists) when it came to sorting out my no claims bonus proof also cheapest quote I could get on my Vara 125 (second only to another firm, Just Motorcycle Insurance, who I've blacklisted for reasons).

Never made a claim with them mind so no idea how they hold up in that area.

Never actually claimed with them but as said above; polite unlike a lot of insurers

I'd use them again if they gave me a cheaper quote of my GS

Took out a policy with them in March after they quoted less than half of what I was paying with my previous insurer, quick, easy, polite over the phone, one thing I will say though is read your policy documents as they'd missed of a few items such as ' Commuting ' and something else, could have been ' Pillion cover ' if I remember right as I had to express that I wanted it, I got it a tenner cheaper going through them rather than the comparison website they came out on also...

Since taking it out a few people I know of have gone through them after I've mentioned them and are all happy...

Recommended... Thumbs Up

Like the others said......cheap! Haven't had much dealing with them as yet as I'm a new customer, but they seemed very accommodating.......I told them I couldn't afford the deposit that they were asking and they simply adjusted my monthly payments to suit Thumbs Up

Been with them for 2 years now!,
Not had a claim but have always found them to be helpful.

At the moment I've got the 50cc insured on third party only because I have my son on as a named rider, if I want TPF&T or fully comp they want £500 excess?

But with the 125 CBR & my son on as a named rider for third party F&T is only £235.

Steve.

My mate has his ZZR 600 insured with them.

Reasonable quote. I remember him saying his bike was restricted but he had no proof so he rang them to ask if they'd require proof.

They said it was assumed that his bike was restricted if he was under 21 and declared he had a 'full' licence.

So he hasn't been asked for proof of restriction, they insured him at a reasonable price and he said they overall seem very helpful and worth being with.

Cheers,

Steve.

They offered me the cheapest price by £80 and also of the two Reps I spoke to on the phone seem polite and sound. Thankfully not had to claim yet so not sure about that.
