Hi guys,
Am moving house soon, and losing my lovely cosy brick garage. So, the Yammy will have to live under a bike cover on the concrete driveway.
The area is rural, but i have already seen a few yobbo kids about, and having spoken to a few people, a chain is going to be a good idea.
I got a few quotes for insurance, and it goes up quite a lot out of the garage, until i put a SoldSecure gold rated ground anchor on the quote, and all of a sudden the quote is a lot less than it was when it was just garaged! So sounds like a good idea.
Question is, For the insurance to still pay out, what sort of chain do i have to use - there is only one box for "Physical Security" on the quotes, and the "Kryptonite Stronghold" anchor (Which i like) doesn't come with its own chain/lock so i will have to provide one too.
I cant imagine them wanting to pay out if the bike gets nicked, and they find out it was tied to the anchor with bits of string, but where do they draw the line? SoldSecure chains are relatively expensive, and i've already got two old oxford chains and locks lying about that i could use - i know they aren't rated though.
