If you're after unadjusted rear wheel horsepower (not the numbers Dynojet machines spit out) you're probably looking at around 125/128 rwhp. Most people prefer the Dynojet numbers, cos they sound better Razz

Read https://www.factorypro.com/dyno/true1.html for a very interesting explanation of why for example Mr C's 12 doesn't make anywhere near 187 rwhp Wink

horseshit

all it says is that some dynos add a correction factor

so what, he's trying to get you to accept his argument so that you buy one of his dynos

anyhoo - if we are to believe this self indulgent American twaddle and nearly all bikes are measured this way then I am STILL making
10% more than an equivalent Hayabusa

which incidentally they claim can be up to 152 "true" hp with just a race exhaust system or according to them, over 180bhp on a dynojet machine - bollocks there isn't a stock motored Hayabusa annywhere with just a system on it making over 180 - they are usually lucky to make 170. Trouble is, although his pseudo science seems to make a good case, as soon as the numbers are suspect, then the credibility is down the toilet

Like I said, since most all bikes are power rated on the dynojet system it's the relative numbers than count Cool

Hi

Why bother correcting the figures. It is rwhp that is important. Other than for bar room bullsh*t it is irrelevant what the bike makes at the crank as that isn't pushing the bike forward.

For developing an engine then the actual figures are fairly irrelevant, as long as they readings are consistant to allow comparison of changes.

All the best

Keith

PS - Anyone got US$20k to give me to buy a dyno?
