If anyone can help regarding the theft of my boyfriends 1995 bergundy and black Fireblade we would appreciate it. (as we all know the police are useless regarding anything that involves real crime).

It was stolen at approx 4pm on 23rd February 2004 from his works car park in Amersham, Bucks. It was locked up, so evidently someone has backed a van in and lifted it in.

Please email me immediately if you have heard anything

thanks.

As Pho says, plus any identifying marks.

It would be worth checking around some breakers for parts of it, especially if it is data tagged.

Pass my regards on to your boyfriend, it is always devastating to have your baby stolen. Best of luck recovering it.

I'll keep my eyes open for it, but Blades are quite common to see Neutral

Worth keeping an eye on www.ebay.co.uk to see if parts end up there.

could of been pro thiefs, they get a van and have some made up bike companys name on the side (removable) and even if the bike is fully kit out with alarms+locks no one questions them when the alarm goes off or when they are cutting the lock cos people think they are just picking up a broken down bike etc, been happing for years now around my area mostly were someone had blow there engine up and nicked a bike for another one.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

I always lock my bike up to something (lamp post, railings, etc). I dont think they will be able to get it away then. A mates r6 got stolen when it was in a car park (locked up and alarm fitted). 2 blokes got out of the van and just picked it up and put it in the back with the alarm going and drove off. But luckily enough there were cameras on them and security guards met them just out side Laughing but they pretty much got awat with it just with a slap on the wrist, but the bike was undamaged anyway.

Don't have so much faith in either the chain or the thing you are chaining your bike to. I've seen the results of theives cutting a railing in half to get a bike loose and also seen boltcroppers make quick work of a hefty chain. If they are professional theives and really want your bike, chances are they'll get it Sad

Your mate does what I try to do, park with a cctv camera watching. At least then the theft is on camera, which is better than having no idea where it's gone...

Right you need to register for this, heres the link for putting your stolen bike on.

https://www.police.uk.net

Bmf used to do this , but recently the police got one, and the bmf withdrew their support for stolen databases.
