hi all. i will be embarking on rebuilding a red 84 superdream with red leather seat soon as i have just been given one that has stood in my friends garage for 23 yrs lol.

i am wondering if any one could help me on sorcing parts as i would like to know what sets of forks fit the cb and what alternative rear shocks i can fit(single mono).

i quite like the idea of trying to find some usd forks that would fit as well as fitting spoked wheels as opposed to the cast ally ones fitted.

also does any one know of a faired super dream as i have only ever seen them in standard naked gise, would like to fit a belly pan and a front fairing shrowed too.

many thanks
ben

p.s. this isnt my first build, more like 13th haha

They never came as standard with a fairing i don't think. However there are aftermarket ones that just fit above the light. USD's would require different yokes etc. The fork seals are easy to get hold of either as honda parts or pattern parts. I'd think any shock of similar length could be made to fit.
I think spending lots of money on a fairing for such an old slow bike is pointless, the same goes for spending time and money on suspension for a bike with a crap frame.

You'd be better off spending our time and money on the top end of the engine to make sure you have no wear, good compression and lubrication.

well im not to worried about the speed, i already have another bike on the road atm (ca rebel bobber) and would like to make this cb look like a nice classic 80's racer with minimul fairing, there was a thread on here with some ones white 125 2stroker kawak that looks similar to the style im going for.

want to repaint the subrame candy red with red and white body work and with the red leather seat.
