Hey,

I thought I'd join up and join in with the chatter here, I passed my Mod 2 three weeks ago and I'm now the proud owner of a 2002 SV650S, she's immaculate for her age too!

Happy riding Smile

Cool, last of the curveys. Mine's a yellow 'un, which attracts all sorts of hover flies and the like. I think they reckon it's the biggest sexiest insect they've ever seen, before they get their brains and guts splattered all over it Very Happy

Enjoy your bike. You may find the forums at forums.sv650.org a useful mine of info too.

Have fun

Mines much the same, as soon as it's out it's coated in hover flies! Worsened by my Hi-Vis (Better to be safe than sorry as my mother always says!). Maybe someone should do a study into why hover flies are attracted specifically to Sv650's. :-p

I completed via DAS, I'm 24, started riding last year, did eight months on a CG125 and did my tests over the course of a month, you can do it fairly fast really.

Tip: In the thread title, stick "petite girl" somewhere in there. It will get you a lot more views/replies. Wink

And nice bike, I hope to be sitting on an SV soon. Will be my first bike too.

I'm thinking about getting an SV650 for my second bike. Not too keen on the tubey frame of the earlier ones.

Me neither, which is why I'm looking at the newer K6 models.

Bah, apart from the crap CCT the early ones rock. The tube frame has a poor man's Ducati look. Still it's good you prefer the later ones, it keeps the prices of the curvey ones nice and low Very Happy

How much of a 'petite girl' are you ?

Well done on the pass, and nice choice of bike - I was torn between an SV650 and a ZX6r. But the V twin wasn't 'mid-life crisis' enough.

6ft4, and built like a brick shit house!

My only concern was that I'd be too tall for the bike, but I'd test ridden it and fell in love with it. Did my first motorway ride today and it felt like nothing Smile

You saucy devil !

Big bikes are great though. Its so nice being able to easily out accelerate most 4 wheeled motorists.
