Scottoiler problem, numberplate screw has broken.

Hi everyone, just been out for a quick ride to have someone come upto me at some lights and say my number plate was hanging off!
I checked it and basically whats happened is that:

The Scottoiler frame that is attached to the back of my bike via the number plate holder has two screws that secure the actual number plate onto the oiler system, and one of the plastic sections at the top that hold the plate screws in has snapped taking one of the screws with it. I've just glued it together with some all purpose adhesive but any thoughts on what else i can do? I don't really want to have to buy a whole new unit and cant find any spares :S Its a 2009 XJ6 Diversion Faired.

you can plastic weld it with a solder iron, buy one just to do that.

you can use plastic coat hangers and melt them fusing two bits of plastic parts together pretty strong

also a scottoiler shouldnt really be attached to the numberplate, can you not attach it to the sub frame or somthing?
