You've drained all the power from the battery probably, by leaving the BLOODY LIGHTS ON! Small bikes like that have a TINY battery and do not take kindly to having current drawn from them without being charged by the magneto.
For example, my GSX-R starts to go flat after 5-6 starting attempts with the starter motor, it needs power!
Go put your battery on an Optimate in the garage, leave it for a day and then, and get this...
Next time you use the bike, START IT UP WITHIN SECONDS OF TURNING THE IGNITION ON!
Otherwise this will keep happening and not only does it drain the battery flat and prevent you using it, it damages the battery having to be charged up from flat all the time.
TL;DR: Charge the battery up and it will most probably solve the problem, next time, don't leave the bloody ignition on. ____________________ "Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul."

Hi
Tend to agree with the above, but you should manage for more than 5 minutes. The RS uses a 12V 9ah battery which should supply the lights, etc, for ages. But the lights will still be fairly bright when there isn't remotely enough power to crank the engine over.
Other reason to avoid leaving the ignition switched on is that on many bike you leave power to the coils which can shorten their life.
All the best

The best way to test if it is the battery, is by posting in the correct section, it is called The Workshop, it is where everyone else who uses this forum posts questions like this and any other technical questions.
And buy a new battery. |
