Passed my mod 1 today, despite feeling like it might be a test run for a proper go next time. No training completed, but managed to pass with no issues at all. 54kph on the avoidance and 56kph on the emergency stop, both of which actually felt pretty easy.

Anyway, I'm onto my mod 2 next on my CBF 125, and had a few questions around what is involved.

Test appears to be vehicle questions, riding, with stops, a hill start and an angle start included. Eyesight test and independant riding also thrown in there.

Is there anything I'm missing here? Also, I'm doing all of the tests on my own and don't have a high-vis vest. Do I need to have one for mod 2? I'd rather not bother getting one if I don't need it, but don't want to hinder a pass in any way.

Congratulations on passing Thumbs Up

I've only done the Mod2 once so it's not etched on my brain but you have to do the eyesight test and you get about 3 show me/tell me questions about the bike and/or pillion passenger/riding. On the test you are marked on your riding, positioning, indications, lifesavers, obs, etc. You may have a hill start and almost always have an angled start (I had to pull over 2x) and you have 10 mins of independent riding.

I took my Mod2 without my instructor (had previous training) but wore my hi-vis cause it was raining - I would have worn it anyway. It's always best to have one for those days when it raining hard or badly overcast. I picked up a cheap spare from poundland Embarassed Better to be seen than not.

If you are intent on doing the test without prior instruction then have a look at the you tube vids some of the schools have to get an idea of what's required.

Good luck.
